Returns, Refunds & Exchange

In-Store Purchase


Did you buy or receive something you don’t want to keep for whatever reason? No problem! Merchandise may be returned for a full refund to the original method of payment, within 14 days from the purchase date. Merchandise must be unused/unworn and returned unopened and in its original packaging with all tags attached (do not take tags off clothing!). After 14 days a store credit will be issued for items returned within 30 days from the date of purchase. All gifts, including registry items bought by friends and family, will qualify for the 30-day in-store credit policy. Returned merchandise purchased during a promotion or special event qualifies for exchange or store credit only up to 30 days from date of purchase.  See ‘Returns - Exceptions’ below for a list of items that are Final Sale – No Exchange.

If your return is received at the store and is deemed to be not in its original condition or the packaging / tags are missing or damaged, you may be charged a restocking fee of up to 50% or you may not qualify for a refund at all. If this is the case, the store will contact you and you can either pick your item(s) up at the store or you can pay to have the items returned to you. 

Online Purchases


Dear-Born Baby does not offer Free Return Shipping, unless an item is damaged or we have shipped the wrong item. If this is the case please send an email to info@dearbornbaby.com with your order# and an image of the issue and we will solve the issue immediately.

Dear-Born Baby requires an RA# (return authorization #) for all online returns.  You can request an RA# by contacting us at info@dearbornbaby.com. The RA# makes the return easier but is not a prepaid shipping label. Once we receive your package and it has been fully inspected, a refund or online credit may be issued.  Some returns may be subject to a restocking fee at our discretion.  Merchandise that is deemed used, opened and not in original packaging does not qualify for a refund or exchange.  In the case where an item does not qualify for a refund, the customer will be notified via email and the item(s) will be shipped back to the customer at their expense or if the customer chooses to pick up the item(s) they will be held for 14 days from the date of the email.

Returning your online purchase in store


No Problem! Please make sure you read our returns policy for the rules about condition etc. Make sure you have your order # and we will gladly accept your online order in store. Once you have dropped your item(s) off they will be taken to the returns room and processed accordingly. If you are just looking to do an exchange the friendly staff will help you. If you need a refund / in store credit this will be processed in 3-5 business days. If after dropping your item(s) off you have questions, please email us at info@dearbornbaby.com

Return / exchange - Exceptions


The following products CANNOT be returned or exchanged:

  • Car Seats, Car Seat bases and Booster Seats
  • Travel Systems
  • Furniture
  • Mattresses
  • Potties, bath tubs, training seats and diaper pails
  • Diapers & swim diapers
  • Breast pumps & accessories and nursing bras and pillows.
  • Personal care items including under garments, lotions and potions, breast pads.
  • All special orders including furniture, parts and accessories for any product
  • Baby Monitors
  • Gift Cards
  • Strollers – can only be returned or exchanged, if in the original factory sealed box unused and unassembled.
  • Clearance items (price ends in .98), items with a discount of 30% or more and open box items including floor models.

Why are Car Seats Final Sale?


Dear-Born Baby does not guarantee manufacturing dates on car seats.  All car seats are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances except for defects as determined by the manufacturer. Dear-Born Baby takes the well-being of your family very seriously and will not jeopardize your child’s safety by accepting returns on infant or child car seats and boosters in the event the integrity of the seat has been compromised.  All car seats are final sale however, if you have any questions or concerns about the car seat you purchased, we are happy to assist you in contacting the manufacturer for a resolution.  We are not responsible for manufacturing dates.
